The Matoran Civil War has been brought to a gruesome end.  The stench of death still rises from the Archives.  The Makuta have fallen out of favor, and the Matoran have become disillusioned to those who were once their protectors.

A new threat strikes from the shadows, and even Toa need to watch their backs as old vendettas linger.  A radical organization, the secretive Black Stone, plots its revenge against Metru Nui.

A mysterious assassination plot unfolds. Mercenary Vortixx paid to keep the peace in the city now provoke conflict. Their involvement is suspected in recent disappearances, and Metru Nui's leaders seem to be left without answers.

Turaga Bomupar, an old hero of conflicts long past, gathers new Toa to defend the City of Legends.  The mantle falls on survivors of the war, as well as travelers from across the fringe.  United by one cause, they must now rise to meet the challenges that face them.  Victory is not assured, and even survival may come at great cost.
