These masks are worn by the inhabitants of Okoto, passed down from generation to generation.  They can grant their wearers all manner of unusual abilities, and the most powerful masks are often hidden away where only someone with the heart of a true hero can reach them.  Masks worn by especially-revered figures, such as Toa or Protectors, are often adorned with Okotan runes and symbols.
